Pete Davidson reveals how fatherhood has changed his life
Hollywood star Pete Davidson has reflected on the impact of fatherhood.
Pete Davidson's "priorities have shifted" since he's become a dad.
The 32-year-old comedy star - who has nine-month-old daughter Scottie Rose with ex-girlfriend Elsie Hewitt - admits that fatherhood has completely changed his life.
Speaking to E! News, Pete explained: "My priorities have shifted in just that becoming a dad is great for so many reasons, but it just made me realise the stuff that I cared about so much don't actually matter.
"Now the priority is if I don't get that whatever job or whatever, who cares? I get to be home with Scottie. That's awesome."
Pete believes fatherhood has had a meaningful influence on his general disposition.
He said: "It's calmed [me] down. My eagerness to like — I don't know — be out there very much. I'm just happy where I am."
Pete is a close friend of Colin Jost, his former Saturday Night Live co-star, who has Cosmo, five, with wife Scarlett Johansson. And Pete has loved sharing his parenting journey with his showbiz pal.
The comedy star explained: "Colin's a great dad, and he sometimes sends me videos.
"What's really great is just being able to share, like, 'Oh, look what they're doing today.' It's just so fun, because when we met, we didn't have kids. So it's just fun to see the type of parents that we're becoming, and it's a fun bonding thing."
Meanwhile, Pete starred alongside Eddie Murphy in The Pickup, the 2025 comedy movie, and the 65-year-old actor previously claimed to have had "a lot in common" with his co-star at the time.
Eddie - who, like Pete, previously starred on Saturday Night Live, the long-running TV comedy show - told Extra: "I was looking forward to working with him.
"I was a fan already from SNL, and we have a lot in common now. We both started doing stand-up when we were really young, and we both started Saturday Night Live when we were really young, and we both lost our dads when we were really young. So, we had a lot in common, and he's a new-generation SNL. So, it was exciting.
"I love working with SNL alumni. I feel like a kinship to all of them."
