How did Brad Pitt fool a delivery driver who recognised him?
Brad Pitt has revealed that he pretended to be another movie star to fool a delivery driver who recognised him when dropping off his food.
Brad Pitt pretended to be Matt Damon to fool a delivery driver who recognised him when he dropped off his food.
The 62-year-old actor has shared an amusing tale where he gave his Ocean's co-star's name after being asked by the delivery driver – who fell for the ruse.
Speaking at a screening for his new movie Heart of the Beast, Brad said: "I started grabbing my food, and he goes, 'Tell me your name again'. And I go, 'Matt Damon.'
"And he is like, 'I knew it, dude. I knew it.' Yeah, I go, 'Yeah, tell your friends.'"
The delivery driver isn't the first person to confuse Pitt for Damon, as Fox Sports announcer John Strong got the movie stars muddled up during the FIFA World Cup final earlier this year.
As the camera focused on Damon, who attended the game in New Jersey with his wife Luciana Barroso, Strong remarked: "Brad Pitt among the fans here."
He was quickly corrected by fellow announcer Stu Holden, who said: "That's Matt Damon!"
The pair later joked about the mistaken identity when the camera panned to Rolling Stones rocker Sir Mick Jagger.
Strong said: "I'm letting you take the rest of these guys. I got cocky after the first three, and I missed an absolute sitter, so I'm done."
Meanwhile, Brad confessed last month that he felt "suicidal" as he dealt with "family stuff" following his acrimonious split from ex-wife Angelina Jolie.
The Fight Club actor, who has six children with Angelina, told Esquire UK: "I've never been suicidal except for one little period. And in that one little period, I just thought – I just couldn't – just didn't see a way out.
"The pain was so oppressive that – I wasn't going to act on this, but I could feel – I could feel the cold steel of the bullet in my head, and it felt like relief.
"And I thought, 'Oh, okay, now I understand' – I understand suicide, in the sense that it's just relief. It's just looking for relief from the pain. But I also think we have incredible survival instincts. And for me, that immediately kicked in, but it was just..."
Brad added: "This s*** ain't easy. And you're talking to a guy who won the lottery."
When asked if he was dealing with "kid stuff", he replied: "Family stuff. We could leave it at that."
