Police were called to a home belonging to a relative of Brian Hickerson for a welfare check on Wednesday (19.08.26), days after the death of his on/off girlfriend Hayden Panettiere.

The Heroes actress passed away at a property in South Carolina on Sunday (16.08.26) at the age of 36, and it subsequently emerged that the executive assistant - who was previously jailed for domestic violence incidents involving the late star - and his brother, Zach Hickerson, were present during her final moments, despite the widespread belief they had split for good in 2022.
And just a few days later, officers from the Greenville Police Department arrived at a property in the area at around 8:20am, knocking on several doors but left after a few minutes when there was no response, Page Six reported.
A police spokesperson told People magazine: "[Officers] responded to a call for a welfare check at a home belonging to Brian Hickerson’s family on Wednesday morning. The call is unrelated to the Hayden Panettiere death investigation and did not require an incident report.”
Hayden was found "unresponsive" at around 1:50pm on Sunday, and according to the Greenville County Coroner's Office, first responders and emergency medical personnel initiated "advanced cardiac life support" measures.
Their statement added: "However, resuscitation efforts were unsuccessful, and the individual was pronounced deceased at 2:32 pm."
No official cause of death has yet been released, but dispatch audio that has been released showed discussions of "overdose" and "cardiac arrest".
An insider has claimed that the Nashville star reconnected with Brian around two weeks before she died, and they had spent a week together in Los Angeles before heading out east.
A source told Page Six: “He was supposed to leave, but somehow, they ended up on a flight to South Carolina, where he is from."
But the insider stressed that “things did not appear to be romantic” between the pair.
They added: “Brian would always find a way to work his way back into Hayden’s life as ‘a friend.’ “
Hayden's close friends were said to have been "always concerned" about her relationship with Brian, who they saw as "bad news" and "a real jerk".
But one pal claimed Hayden - who had 11-year-old daughter Kaya with former partner Wladimir Klitschko - had kept their reconnection a secret.
Another source said: “If Brian was back in her life then it was something she was hiding because she wasn’t speaking about it with many of her friends.”
