WWE legend Ric Flair 'renews friendship with ex-wife'
Ric Flair has confirmed that he's reconnected with Wendy Barlow, his ex-partner.
Ric Flair is "renewing" his friendship with his ex-partner.
The 77-year-old wrestling legend has taken to social media to share details of his reunion with Wendy Barlow, with whom he shared a non-legal marriage ceremony between 2018 and 2024.
Ric - who split from Wendy in September 2024, after 13 years together - wrote on X: "I Told You. It Was Only A Matter Of Time Until You Came Running Back!! At Least I Know I Am In Good Hands Because You Have Always Taken The Best Care Of Me Out Of Anyone In The Whole World. She Finally Figured Out There Is Only One Ric Flair And One James Bond, And Currently Ric Flair Is Available For Any Kind Of Action. Let’s See If Wendy Still Has It! (sic)"
However, Ric subsequently moved to clarify the situation, explaining that they weren't rekindling their romance. Instead, the WWE legend stressed that they were "renewing" their friendship after years of estrangement.
He wrote on the micro-blogging platform: "Wendy And I Are Not Renewing A Relationship. We Are Renewing A 34 Year Friendship. She Has Her Own Residence And I Have Mine. She Is Coming To Tampa Primarily To Take Care Of Her Parents, Who Are Both In Their 80s And Not In Good Health. Wendy Will Continue To Do What She Does Best, Travel The World, And Help People Who Are Struggling In Other Countries. I’ll Resume What I Do And Love Most Which Is Attending Public Events And Signing Autographs At Meet AND Greets. (sic)"
Ric urged fans and the media to not misconstrue the situation. Ric - who is widely recognised as one of greatest professional wrestlers of all time - is thrilled that Wendy is now back in his life.
He shared: "Please Don’t Turn Something Positive Into Something Negative. If That’s All You Have To Do, Find Something Better To Do. The One Part I Am Sure Of, Which She Reminds Me Whenever We Speak, Is That She Will Always Be There For Me If I Get Sick Again, And I Was SICK For Two Years! Her Whole Family Took Care Of Me. Find Someone Else To Hate On! Wendy And I Are Good. (sic)"
