Naomi Watts sends birthday message to her 'divine and adventurous' son Sasha
Naomi Watts took to Instagram to send a special message to her eldest son Sasha to mark his 19th birthday over the weekend.
Naomi Watts has sent birthday wishes to her "divine and adventurous" son Sasha.
The 57-year-old actress took to Instagram to commemorate her eldest child's 19th birthday over the weekend by sharing a selfie that he had taken with the sun setting behind him in the background.
Naomi – who also has daughter Kai, 17, with her former partner Liev Schreiber - captioned the post: "Happy birthday to my divine and adventurous loving son. So proud of you @sashapeterschreiber."
The Impossible star and Ray Donovan actor's 11-year relationship came to an end back in 2016, but the former couple have been open about putting their children first by maintaining a strong friendship.
Naomi, who married actor Billy Crudup in 2023, told Net-a-Porter in 2019: "We're doing things very differently. I'm pretty proud of us, corny as that may sound.
"We've made it our absolute priority to be good and kind to each other and we're absolutely committed to that."
Naomi previously hailed Sasha, who is studying at the University of Southern California, for coming straight from classes to see her receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame last October.
The Mulholland Drive actress said during the ceremony: "I’m so proud of my kids.
"My son Sasha, a freshman at USC, is here straight from class. He rolled in, and he’s blossoming into the kindest, most charismatic young man."
She also called Kai "fierce and fearless" and hailed her step-son Will – Crudup's son from his relationship with actress Mary-Louise Parker – for following in his father's footsteps through his ventures in the film industry.
Naomi also confessed that she suffers from imposter syndrome during the ceremony as she explained how the accolade had come "out of the blue".
The two-time Oscar nominee told Variety: "I can’t even believe it. It’s interesting, because I have all kinds of imposter syndrome.
"I’ve always felt like I’m supposed to struggle, I’m supposed to keep proving myself, and this sort of just came out of the blue. It’s really lovely...
"I struggled for so long. I’m so familiar with that side of things more than this incredible good fortune, celebrations like this. It’s wonderful."
