Jenny Mollen 'severely depressed' after Jason Biggs split
In a video on her Instagram page, Jenny Mollen gave an insight into how she’s doing after her marriage split, as she showed herself dancing through a garden, with the clip accompanied by the Metric tune Help I’m Alive.
Jenny Mollen has admitted she’s “severely depressed” following her split from husband Jason Biggs.
The pair, who met while filming My Best Friend’s Girl in 2007, announced in May (26) that they’d decided to end their marriage after 18 years.
And in a video on her Instagram page, Jenny gave an insight into how she’s doing after the split, as she showed herself dancing through a garden, with the clip accompanied by the Metric tune Help I’m Alive.
She wrote in the caption: “So we are clear, I am massively depressed. This is just what surviving looks like.”
Jenny’s fans quickly took to the comments section to offer their support, with one writing: “You got this sister.”
As another added: “One step, sway, and sparkle at a time until the shine reaches your eyes, you glow, and conquer the world.
“Until then one foot in front of the other and every now and then, click your heels, and love yourself a little harder.”
While a third commented: “You’ve got this! No one knows what depression looks like. Hang in there mama.”
As someone else wrote: “These feelings are very real and valid, but thankfully won’t last forever.”
Jenny and Jason got engaged in January 2008 before eloping three months later, renewing their vows in Napa, California, later that year.
They announced their split in May, but continue to co-parent their two sons, Sid, 12, and Lazlo, eight.
Shortly after the break-up, Jenny admitted on Kelly Ripa’s Let’s Talk Off Camera podcast that she had undergone intimate surgery, but was worried the timing of it would be misconstrued following the end of her and Jason’s marriage.
Jenny explained Jason, 48, had only just moved out when she felt compelled to tell him she was about to undergo the procedure.
She said: “I’m like, oh, f***, this is crazy because literally, and the timing was horrifying because, okay, Jason was moving out on a Friday and I didn’t mean for it to line up this way.”
She added: “I’m having a vagina surgery. I mean, it looks so bad for me.” Laughing as she recalled the conversation, Jenny explained she had initially hesitated before sending the message.
She added she “didn’t want to tell” Jason because “it sounded shady” and “weird”.
Describing the operation, Jenny said: “I’m going under for two-and-a-half f****** hours. I was like, ‘Make this feel palatable’, but it was awful.”
She said there was one detail she felt would at least reassure her former husband.
Jenny added: “The one good thing I was able to tell him was, ‘I’m not allowed to have sex for eight weeks’.”
Although she did not reveal Jason’s response, Jenny joked everything now looked “even” following the procedure.
