Millie Bobby Brown hopes to have a biological child in the future,.
The 22-year-old actress and her husband Jake Bongovi fulfilled her "childhood dream" in August 2025 when they adopted a baby girl, but the Enola Holmes 3 star explained she also wants to go through pregnancy to futher expand her family.
Speaking to Kylie Kelce on her Not Gonna Lie podcast, she said: “Always, always wanted to adopt.
“It was always part of my childhood dreams. Every time I was at home and I was, you know, five, six, years old, my parents were like, ‘You had your baby dolls.' They were all adopted. I never had any of them myself. And I never pretended I was pregnant.
“It's not because I don't want that. Hopefully one day that's in my future.”
The Stranger Things star has been working towards a veterinary technician degree through online studies, but before then, she studied social work and was particularly fascinated by the courses on adoption.
She said: “Adoption is love, adoption is forever.”
“I loved the aspect of adoption in my social work courses… so meaningful and important. And then I also learned what it, you know, speaking to, and reading a lot about being a birth mother and what that journey is.
"So for me, my husband and I took a lot of time to focus on what that story and what that journey looks like. And then we embarked it.”
Elsewhere during her appearance on the podcast, Millie hit out at the "vicious" commentary she had experienced from other mothers online.
She said: “I was like, ‘This is vicious. You are vicious.' And I don't have time for angry women that just need to feel like they need to bring you down, especially when it comes to motherhood. I've never experienced anything like this."
Millie recently admitted she wasn't prepared for the "overwhelming" and "incomprehensible" love she would have for her daughter.
Speaking to UNICEF in a clip shared to Instagram, she said when asked for one thing she wasn't prepared for about parenting: “The love. People say they love their children.
“I couldn’t—I don’t understand how that much happens in my heart. The feeling is so overwhelming. It’s just incomprehensible.”
