Newlywed Callum Turner shares rare insight into Dua Lipa relationship
Callum Turner has made some rare comments about his relationship with new wife Dua Lipa.
Callum Turner is "inspired" by Dua Lipa.
The 36-year-old actor recently married the Levitating hitmaker and he's opened up about how they try and fit their busy schedules around one another so they can be together "as much as possible".
He told The Hollywood Reporter: "You want to be inspired by the person you’re with.
“We make sure that we’re together as much as possible.”
The couple enjoy "sharing" their favourite books and movies together, and Callum recently enjoyed sharing one of his favourite films, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, with his wife.
He said: “Dua and I both have a pretty strong pool of art that we love and draw upon and share with each other...
“It was the first time she’d seen it, and I was like, ‘There are some famous faces here — let me see if you can guess them.' I was such a d******* about it, ‘I’ve seen this film before, so see if you can notice these things!’ “
The Boys in the Boat actor also revealed Dua, 30, has a secret talent - the board game Backgammon.
Speaking of a recent evening at director James Gray's house, he said: "“We had this little tête-à-tête, all of us, and then we chilled for an hour or so. Then Dua beat them all at backgammon. She’s a killer at backgammon.”
While he is set to star in Possession, Callum admitted he isn't a big fan of watching horror movies.
Discussing a cinema visit to see Obsession with Dua, he said: “I don’t like horror movies, I just want to get back to my book. I mean, I’m about to go do one, so it’s not that I’m not into them — it’s just that they scare me!”
Callum and Dua married in a low-key ceremony at London's Old Marylebone Town Hall on May 30th before enjoying a second ceremony and wider celebrations with friends and family in Italy last weekend.
The pair’s wedding celebrations reportedly began with a cocktail party at Palermo's Palazzo Valguarnera Gangi before continuing across three days of events.
On Saturday (06.06.26) around 200 wedding guests gathered at Villa Valguarnera, an 18th-century estate, where desserts, dancing and personal touches reflecting the couple’s relationship formed part of the festivities.
Reports estimate the celebrations cost approximately £1.5 million, with Sir Elton John arriving by private jet shortly before the ceremony to perform for guests.
