JoJo Siwa is battling concussion and has been forced to go on bed rest after falling off a golf cart in a nasty accident last week.

The 23-year-old dancer and reality TV star suffered the accident while preparing for a cruise event later this month, and took to her Instagram page to offer fans a health update.

In the video, she said that she was turning left when the wheel of the golf cart locked, causing the vehicle to malfunction and flip over.

She hit her head, which led to the concussion, but told her followers that she’s “really lucky” that she wasn’t more seriously injured in the fluke accident.

“It’s been a very long week,” JoJo captioned the video.

“I fell off the golf cart last Monday. With rest, my concussion has been recovering well. No where near 100%, but on a good track.”

Unfortunately, JoJo has also ended up with a “gnarly” eye infection which she’s managing by wearing an eye patch - but stressed the infection is completely unrelated to the golf cart accident.

She did tell her fans that her eye “is taking longer than expected to come round”, meaning that her “lovely team of doctors” are keeping a “close eye” on her, as she prepares to return to rehearsals.

JoJo continued: “It’s definitely a bit early to be going back into everything, and I have to be very careful of not being 100% recovered… but the greatest saying in Hollywood, which I’m realizing to be true, the show must go on.

“If you see me with sunglasses on, just know, I’m not being a drama diva, just taking care of my eye giving it a bit of relief.

“The patch I found after a few days to be a bit difficult with the concussion recovery so only wear it now if I need a complete light break!”

She concluded: “Thank you for the lovely messages, I’ve been down the last few days dealing with this and feeling a little bit bummed but I’ve seen lots online that has made me smile so thank you for that.”

People were quick to comment on JoJo’s post, with one referring to the star’s world-famous range of hair bows, as they wrote: “Honestly the eye patch could become an accessory. Just add a few rhinestones. So glad you are on the mend.

Another added: “The show must go on! But please be careful. Too early from recovery and the show may not go on for long.

“Hoping you have fast recovery.”
