Chris Hughes has opened up about his relationship with JoJo Siwa, and how they're finding the long distance side.
Chris Hughes and JoJo Siwa's long distance relationship is "not as tricky as people think".
The 33-year-old star, who started dating the 23-year-old singer after they met on UK reality show Celebrity Big Brother last year, and he has frequently jetted off to the United States to be with his girlfriend.
He told the Daily Mail newspaper: "It is tricky, but it's not as tricky as people think.
"So many people ask me this, and it's like, before the last couple of months, we'd see each other every month, one way or another, whether she be over here or I go out there, so it's never as strenuous as people think.
"I think when you can jump on a flight and get yourself out there, if you've got the ability to do that and you've got the time, then it's a lovely thing, really."
Chris noted that despite the culture clash between the UK and US, he loves "spending time with her and her family and the dogs", and he always has "a great time" over there.
There are difficult moments where they "miss each other", but Chris hasn't found the distance as "stressful" as people might think.
The couple will be apart for their one year anniversary on Wednesday (27.05.26), but Chris just returned from the US over the weekend after celebrating JoJo's birthday.
He said: "That was lovely out there with the family. We played golf three days on the bounce. She's now a very avid golfer, which is so perfect for me.
"I didn't think she'd necessarily want to play golf on her birthday, and she actually did. So that was like a win-win situation. But yeah, things are great.
"It's the first time I'd seen her for a number of months, the longest time we've been apart."
JoJo recently admitted that her brother Jayden Siwa's recent nuptials have made her think about her own wedding.
Speaking to PEOPLE, she said: “Of course, it gave me the wedding vibes. I mean, obviously our relationship's very new. We're creeping up on our one-year anniversary.
"So we're getting there, but we've got time. And obviously, I think that marriage is, of course, in Chris' hands, and so when he feels the time is right, I'll be ready. Maybe. I'm just kidding.
“It's been the best year ever, and it's only gonna go up from here.”
