Haylie Duff and Matt Rosenberg break up
Haylie Duff and Matt Rosenberg have called time on their relationship after 14 years together.
Haylie Duff and Matt Rosenberg have split.
The 41-year-old actress and Matt have called time on their relationship after 14 years together and a 12-year engagement.
A rep for Haylie - who has Ryan Ava Erhard, ten, and Lulu Gray, seven, with Matt - told People that the former couple "ended their relationship around the first of the year".
The rep added: "She asks for privacy at this time in protection of her young daughters."
Haylie, who is the older sister of actress Hilary Duff, previously explained that she and Matt had decided to pause their wedding planning in order to focus on the birth of their second daughter.
The actress told People in 2018: "We talk about it and think, ‘Maybe now we're ready to do it' and then life happens and toddler happens.
"We feel married already and it hasn't become something that both of us are gung-ho about. Maybe after the craziness of a new baby dies down we'll be ready to talk about it again."
Haylie also revealed that she was thrilled to be welcoming a second daughter.
The actress hoped that her baby girls would develop a close "bond".
She said: "Truthfully, we really wanted another girl. Ryan could have that bond of sisters."
Prior to that, Haylie claimed that Matt "complements" her really well - even though they're distinctly different in a lot of ways.
The actress - who announced her engagement in April 2014 - also hailed Matt as "the one".
She told People: "He just complements me so well.
"We’re very different in a lot of ways. I think really when he became close with my family, and I saw how simpatico everybody was, that’s when I was like, ‘Okay, so not only do I love him, but they love him too.’ And I feel like that’s the way it’s supposed to be."
Haylie admitted at the time that she was still adjusting to being engaged.
She said: "It still shocks me! It’s not even normal.
"I still call him my boyfriend, and he, every once in a while, is like, ‘Babe, I’m your fiance.'"
