Emma Heming Willis says she was "made to love" Bruce Willis as she celebrates their 17th wedding anniversary.

The 47-year-old model took to Instagram on Saturday (21.03.26) to mark almost two decades since the couple got married in the Turks and Caicos Islands in 2009.

Emma shared a sweet shot from their nuptials of Bruce carrying his wife on a beach with the caption: "I was made to love him. 17 years."

Fans rushed to the post's comments section to congratulate the couple - who first met at a Los Angeles gym in 2007.

One person penned: "True LOVE! Happy anniversary!!!! (sic)"

A second supporter typed: "You sure were all part of God’s plan. Sending you both so much love (sic)."

And a third follower wrote: "Happy Anniversary to you both Emma. You are a very special couple and you are amazing the care you give Bruce and help so many with your book. He is a very good man and you are a perfect match (sic)."

Their anniversary comes two days after Bruce - who has frontotemporal dementia (FTD) - turned 71 on Thursday (19.03.26).

Emma paid a birthday tribute to the Assassin star on Instagram that day.

She shared a picture of Bruce smiling as he relaxed by the sea with the caption: "Today we celebrate Bruce’s birthday.

"This journey with frontotemporal dementia (FTD) has opened my eyes to the realities so many families face. It’s what inspired me to create The Emma + Bruce Willis Fund to raise awareness of FTD, support research, and stand beside the caregivers who carry so much every day.

"If you’d like to honour Bruce today, please consider supporting the fund or another organisation working in this space, or simply checking in on a caregiver - a small act of kindness that can mean so much. (sic)"

Bruce retired from acting in 2022, after he was diagnosed with aphasia - a language disorder that affects a person's ability to speak, understand, read or write - that same year.

In 2023, Bruce's condition later progressed to frontotemporal dementia (FTD) - a group of brain disorders affecting personality, behaviour, and language.

Emma - who has daughters Mabel, 13, and Evelyn, 11, with Bruce - said her spouse is unaware he has dementia.

Appearing on a January episode of the Conversations with Cam podcast, she revealed: "Bruce never, never tapped in.

"I think that's like the blessing and the curse of this, is that he never connected the dots that he had this disease, and I'm really happy about that. I'm really happy that he doesn't know about it."

In February, Emma said she had realised how "vital" it is to concentrate on her own health after caring for the Die Hard actor - who also has daughters actress Rumer Willis, 37, singer Scout Willis, 34, and TV star Tallulah Willis, 32, with his 63-year-old ex-wife and friend, Demi Moore.

Emma told People: "I think as women in society, we tend to put ourselves last, and we put everyone's needs above our own.

"And what I've realised is that if you are not caring for yourself, if you are not finding ways to make time for your health, your hobbies, it's impossible to be able to care for the people that we love."
