Joe Manganiello and Caitlin O'Connor left Los Angeles due to “crime”.

The Nonnas actor and his fiancée decided to quit California to move back to their shared hometown of Pittsburgh and The Caitlin O'Connor Show host is sure it was the right decision for them both.

Caitlin, 36, told Fox News Digital: “The crime in Los Angeles is at an all-time high. We were thinking about it for a long time, and the right house happened to come up. We went to look at it in Pittsburgh, and it was perfect for us.

“LA is no longer the entertainment capital of the world. For the most part, everything is on Zoom. A lot of premieres happen in New York. There are studios being built in New Jersey, and things are moving overseas. Many projects are being filmed overseas, even by professionals who have worked in LA on set their whole lives. The industry has moved. It’s no longer there.

"Pittsburgh is the perfect place to start fresh. All of our neighbours are so nice, generous and helpful. In a big city, you don’t have that kind of community that we have here.”

O’Connor and Manganiello have decided to base themselves in his hometown of Mt. Lebanon, which is “just about an hour away” from where she grew up in Uniontown.

Manganiello and Two and a Half Men actress O'Connor were first linked to each other in September 2023, and confirmed their relationship in December of the same year.

They announced their engagement in October 2025 after two years of dating, revealing that Manganiello actually popped the question months earlier in June.

Joe, 49, was previously married to Modern Family actress Sofía Vergara, 53, but they split in July 2023 after seven years together.

They said in a statement posted on Instagram: “We have made the difficult decision to divorce. As two people that love and care for one another very much, we politely ask for respect for our privacy at this time as we navigate this new phase of our lives.”

A source told PEOPLE at the time: “They have been growing apart for some time now and tried to resolve things, but they are focused on different areas of their lives. They definitely love and respect each other, but once that initial passion dies down and other areas get in the way, then little differences get bigger."
