Debby Ryan gives birth to first child
Debby Ryan and Josh Dun have welcomed their first child, a daughter, into the world.
Debby Ryan has given birth to her first child.
The former Disney Channel star - who revealed she and husband Josh Dun were expecting a baby back in September - took to Instagram on Saturday (13.12.25) to reveal she and the Twenty One Pilots drummer had welcomed a daughter into the world, who they have named Felix Winter Dun.
Sharing a series of videos and photos on Instagram, Debby wrote: “We sat under the full moon — the cold supermoon — reminiscing on our life as a family of two, and told the child I was harboring that we were ready to become three.
“By midday, Felix was born under Christmas lights with snow outside our bedroom window, right into her father’s hands.”
The Insatiable actress praised the 37-year-old musician for being an "incredible teammate" throughout her labour.
She continued: "Joshua was an incredible teammate, and somehow didn’t get pulled into the tub and drowned and is taking such good care of his girls on this side of things. I was fortified by an incredible birth team, and the strength and wisdom of some women who have supported me on this journey near and far."
Debby is smitten with her daughter and wants to cherish every moment.
She concluded: "Her hair is made of silk and her breath smells like vanilla ice cream and every chirp, squeak and whimper is music and everytime I look away and look back, she’s gotten smaller somehow. I know too soon, I’ll look away and look back and she’ll be bigger and bigger still so for now I’d like to spend my days trapped under the immovable 8 pounds of Felix Winter Dun.
"I’ve been a lot of things but her home, a grow light, a portal to bring a new soul into the world— these are my greatest honors. Welcome to earth lil moonbeam. Love you forever [moon and star emojis] (sic)"
Debby previously confirmed her pregnancy on Instagram by sharing pictures of her baby bump with her husband - who she married in December 2019 after six years together holding up a tiny pair of infant's shoes as well as a sonogram snap.
She captioned the post: "Dun dun +one."
Josh previously opened up about their relationship and admitted their marriage is very different to how he previously pictured an adult relationship would be.
Speaking to Kenny Sipes in a 2022 interview, Josh explained: "I always tried to envision what marriage would look like from when I was a kid, and it never really looked quite like this.
"When I was young I felt like my parents were just so grown up. Debby and I are just kids.
"We live in an adult house and decorate it like kids and do kid stuff in it. We couldn’t sleep the other night so we just hung out in the kitchen and jumped around and ate snacks.
"I bet my parents did that stuff too probably, but I never saw it and never knew this is what marriage could be like."
