Darius Rucker has got engaged.
The Hootie + the Blowfish frontman stunned fans on Wednesday (08.10.25) when he revealed he and Emily Deahl are getting married, just a month after they went public with their romance.
The couple released a joint Instagram post featuring two photos from an official shoot, one in which Emily smiled down at her partner while he was down on one knee and another of the 33-year-old beauty showing off her new engagement ring as Darius kissed her on the cheek.
The Wagon Wheel hitmaker captioned the post: "Thank you for showing me a level of happiness I have never known.
The day I met you I knew I didn’t want to go another one without you. Now I don’t have to."
Emily also shared the post to her Instagram Story and explained how she had kept their romance private in order to "protect" it.
She wrote: "I never intended on keeping this part of my life from you guys for so long. But somewhere along the way of loving him I discovered how sacred love is to me. And all I wanted to do was protect it."
She then jokingly added: "But damn, I'm glad I don't have to spend the time photoshopping him out of every photo now."
Darius revealed he was dating Emily last month when he shared a smiling selfie of them together outside Las Vegas' Sphere.
He captioned the post: "Wizard of Oz at @spherevegas with my love + my boys.(sic)"
While it is unclear how long the couple have been together, Emily revealed in April that she had moved to London in January, while Darius had discussed in February relocating to the city while recording new material.
Also in April, Emily joked in a TikTok video: "Missing my man then remembering how many songs I wrote about hating men."
Darius was previously married to Beth Leonard - with whom he has Daniela, 24, and 20-year-old Jack - for 20 years but they split in 2020.
Three years later, the If I Told You hitmaker - who also has Carolyn, 30, from a previous relationship - admitted he felt like a "failure" when their marriage ended but they would always be "family".
He told People magazine: “That stuff hurts and you feel like a failure. But we’re still a family — a piece of paper is not going to change that. We’re still a family, and that’s all because Beth is awesome. She knows it’s the best for the kids, and she’s a great human being."
