Kelly Osbourne celebrates dad Ozzy's 'magical' final show
Kelly Osbourne has admitted her dad Ozzy Osbourne's farewell concert on Saturday (05.07.25) was one of the "most magical" experiences of her life.
Kelly Osbourne has hailed her father Ozzy Osbourne's final Black Sabbath concert one of the "most magical experiences" of her life.
The 40-year-old star has thanked fans and all the performers on the star-studded line-up for the group's farewell show in her dad's native Birmingham, England, on Saturday (05.07.35) for the lift they gave the Paranoid hitmaker and admitted it was a night she will never forget.
She said in a video shared to her Instagram Story: “I just wanted to take a moment to say thank you.
"Thank you to everyone who came to the show last night, [and] thank you to everybody who was involved in the show last night. You have no idea what it did for my dad.
“It was one of the most magical experiences of my entire life, and if I keep talking, I’m probably going to end up crying again. So, that’s all I’ll say for now. Thank you.”
The epic concert marked the 76-year-old rocker's official retirement and was staged to raise funds for charities including Cure Parkinson’s, Birmingham Children’s Hospital and Acorns Children’s Hospice. T
Ozzy reunited with Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler and Bill Ward for the first time since 2005 at Villa Park for the show.
The stadium erupted into huge cheers when Ozzy appeared on stage and he told fans: “You have no idea how I feel.”
42,000 fans packed into Villa Park for the sold-out Back to the Beginning show, which saw Ozzy and Black Sabbath return to their hometown, 56 years after the band was formed in the city.
Ozzy has undergone seven surgeries in the past five years and he has also been living with Parkinson’s disease since 2003.
While he plans to continue making music, the rock legend has insisted Saturday’s performance will be his final one on stage.
He told the crowd: “It's so good to be on this f****** stage. Let the madness begin! You've got no idea how I feel. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.”
Ozzy performed a selection of hits including I Don't Know, Blizzard of Ozz and Suicide Solution.
Anthrax, Guns N' Roses and Metallica all performed during the 10 hour concert, while there were also surprise video messages from the likes of Dolly Parton and Jack Black.
