Travis Kelce 'is not ready to retire'
Travis Kelce doesn't have any intention of retiring after the Super Bowl, according to a source.
Travis Kelce "is not ready to retire" from the NFL.
The 35-year-old sports star recently led the Kansas City Chiefs to the final of the Super Bowl, and Travis - who is dating pop star Taylor Swift - doesn't have any intention of walking away from the sport in the near future.
A source told DailyMail.com: "When it comes to his success in acting and podcasting and seeing the opportunities his brother [Jason] has had after his retirement, Travis is not ready to retire himself."
The Chiefs will face the Philadelphia Eagles in New Orleans on February 9 - but the outcome of that game won't have any bearing on Travis' future.
The insider added: "Whether the Chiefs win or lose, he would want to either go for the four-peat or avenge losing in the Super Bowl and would love to try to get back there.
"He understands he is in good shape professionally and personally when he retires, but as he gets asked about in the next two weeks, he wants to stay in the league. He still believes he has more to give.
"Ask the same question next year, then we might have a conversation, but right now all his intentions are to stay with the Chiefs and play in the NFL next season whether they win or lose the Super Bowl."
Travis has become one of the most talked-about athletes in the world since he started dating Taylor, and Patrick Mahomes - Travis' teammate - previously claimed that the pop star has helped to make the Chiefs a "worldwide team".
Patrick, 29, told Time magazine: "[The Chiefs] went from a nationwide team that was kind of global to a full global worldwide team. That came from Taylor’s fanbase."
