Paris Hilton planning to foster dog given up during the LA wildfires
As the infernos content to rage, Paris Hilton has said she is planning to foster a dog given up during the LA wildfires.
Paris Hilton is planning to foster a dog given up during the LA wildfires.
The billionaire hotel heiress, 43, was left reeling when her home was razed to the ground by the infernos that broke out a week ago, and she has now taken to Instagram to share videos from her time volunteering at the Pasadena Humane Society.
She revealed in the post she was “going to be fostering another dog who was surrendered by his family who lost their home in the fire”.
Paris shared a post showing her standing in front of some of the shelter’s crowded kennels, and added: “We’re gonna go and see if there’s any other dogs where they’re still looking for their owners.”
She also said she wanted to “tell everyone” the Pasadena Humane Society was an “incredible charity” doing “so much work” for hundreds of dogs, cats and pets affected by the wildfires blighting California.
Paris went on: “What’s most important is getting donations” – before calling animals in need “our babies”.
She added about one of the lost pets: “This beautiful cat was found without a collar in #Altadena and has been in the shelter for the last four days.
“Please share with anyone you know from the Altadena area so we can reconnect this baby with his owner! His animal ID is A519218.”
The Palisades Fire alone has killed eight people and demolished nearly 24,000 acres, including Paris’ mansion in Malibu.
And the death toll from the California blazes as a whole has hit at least 24.
Paris announced to fans on Instagram last week about how she watched her home burning on the news: “Heartbroken beyond words. Sitting with my family, watching the news, and seeing our home in Malibu burn to the ground on live TV is something no one should ever have to experience.
“This home was where we built so many precious memories. It’s where Phoenix took his first steps and where we dreamed of building a lifetime of memories with London.”
Paris has son Phoenix, who is almost 2, and her daughter London, born in November 2023, with her 43-year-old husband Carter Reum.
She also described the loss of their family home as “overwhelming” and described the wildfires devastation as “unimaginable”.
