Yung Filly has been arrested and charged with sexual assault.

The 29-year-old British YouTuber and rapper - whose real name is Andres Felipe Valencia Barrientos - appeared on court this week after being arrested in Australia and accused of raping a woman in his hotel room in Perth after a show.

According to reports, he was arrested in Brisbane on Tuesday (08.10.24) before being extradited to Perth the next day.

He has been accused of sexually assaulting a woman in her 20s on September 28 after a performance at Bar1 Nightclub the previous night.

He has been charged with four counts of sexual penetration without consent, three counts of assault, and one count of impede a person's normal breathing or circulation by applying pressure to their neck.

Barrientos - who hosts programmes like 'Hot Property' and 'Yung Filly's Celeb Lock-in' for the BBC - appeared in Perth Magistrates Court on Thursday (10.10.10).

He spoke only to confirm his name, and acknowledge the charges against him.

As reported by ABC Australia, his case was adjourned and he has been granted conditional bail, including a ban on contacting the alleged victim, or posting on anything about the case on social media.

The YouTuber boasts over three million followers on Instagram alone, with the same number on TikTok and 1.8 million subscribers on YouTube.

In a statement, Western Australia Police said: "This investigation is ongoing and Sex Assault Squad detectives urge anyone with information relating to this matter, or any similar incidents, to call Crime Stoppers."

He previously appeared on Channel 4's 'The Great Celebrity Bake Off' in 2022, while he has collaborated with fellow YouTuber Chunkz and the Beta Squad.

In his music career, he team up with Chunkz on UK top 30 single 'Hold' in 2020, and earlier this year he released 'Grey', which has racked up 63 million Spotify streams.

He has over two million monthly listeners on the streaming platform.
