Billie Eilish hailed a 'girl's girl' after dedicating People's Choice Award to co-star
Dominique Fishback is "eternally grateful" to Billie Eilish for making her feel "seen" in Hollywood.
Billie Eilish has been praised as the "epitome of a girl's girl" after she dedicated her first major acting prize to her co-star Dominique Fishback.
The 22-year-old pop megastar was presented with the TV Performance of the Year prize for her role as Eva - a women's empowerment cult leader that takes Dre (Dominique Fishback) under her wing - in the satirical comedy horror thriller miniseries 'Swarm' and she dedicated the award to the leading star.
Collecting her gong from Jeremy Renner, 53, at the star-studded bash at the Barker Hanger in Santa Monica on Sunday (18.02.24), the 'What Was I Made For?' hitmaker said: “I want to dedicate this to Dominique Fishback because that show is all about her. She put her whole cooch into that show and she really carried the hell out of it. She taught me everything I know. I owe that whole experience. She deserves this more than I do. She’s incredible. She is beautiful. She is talented. She should be cast in everything forever."
Dominique, 32, has since reacted and thanked Billie for putting the spotlight on her whilst also praising her as a "a deep and astute scene partner".
She wrote alongside a clip of Billie's speech on Instagram: "Wow what can I say. I was not expecting you to say any of this but I can’t say I’m surprised because that’s the kind of woman you are. Billie, you ARE the epitome of a girl’s girl and I feel lucky to be on the receiving end of it.
"This was extremely generous of you and I’m honored.
It’s not easy for any of us being apart of these industries.. where the needle seems to always move and the rules are ever changing… what makes it enjoyable and dare I say a bit easier are the people you get to know and love along the way…
In private you’ve always made me feel so seen, and last night you chose to make sure others saw me as well and for that I am extremely grateful.
"I am so proud of your acting debut, (a deep and astute scene partner) but more than that, I am continuously enamoured by the person you show yourself to be. Loving and thoughtful
"I love you @billieeilish and I thank you so much. (sic)"
