Jason Kelce ‘overwhelmed’ by star power in Taylor Swift’s Super Bowl suite
Opening up about how he watched his brother’s Kansas City Chiefs team romp to victory against the San Francisco49ers from Taylor Swift’s VIP box at this year’s Super bowl, Jason Kelce admitted he was left “overwhelmed”.
Jason Kelce was “overwhelmed” by watching the Super Bowl with Taylor Swift and her famous friends.
The Philadelphia Eagles player, 36, was with A-listers including Blake Lively, Lana Del Rey, Ice Spice and Miles and Keleigh Teller in ‘Bad Blood’ singer Taylor’s private VIP suite at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on Sunday (11.02.24) to see his Kansas City Chiefs brother Travis Kelce, 34, and his team romp to victory over the San Francisco49ers in a 25–22 win in overtime.
He said on his and Travis’ ‘New Heights’ podcast on Wednesday (14.02.24): “There was so much happening in the suite. Turns out everyone wants to meet Taylor.
He added the experience was his “first really understanding” of what Taylor has to “deal with on a (daily) basis”, saying: “There were so many star-studded people there where it’s like, dude, everyone wants to come and see her, but the suite’s only so big.
“It was overwhelming to be honest with you. It was very overwhelming.
“The celebrity attendance at the game was pretty unreal.”
Kim Kardashian, Justin Bieber and Beyoncé were also at this year’s Super Bowl and Jason added Taylor was a pro at handling attention from fellow celebs.
He said: “You gotta love it, man. Taylor thrives in those situations. She’s been in ’em countless times in her life.”
At one point, Sir Paul McCartney stopped by to greet Taylor in her suite, which also hosted her and Travis’ families.
Jason has previously praised the singer – who has been dating his fellow NFL star brother since the summer of 2023 – for being “genuine”.
He added in an interview for the Pro Bowl: “I’ve been fortunate to meet Taylor now. She’s (an) awesome, down-to-earth, genuine person, which has been great to see, whenever you’re seeing anyone of that calibre of stardom still remain as grounded as they are.”
