Olivia Rodrigo gave a blood-covered performance of 'Vampire' at the Grammy Awards on Sunday (04.02.24).

The 20-year-old singer donned a red dress and had fake blood dripping down her arm as she sang the ballad on stage at Los Angeles' Crypto.com Arena, keeping the lyrics suitable for the TV broadcast by omitting the profanity from the lyrics.

Olivia received a standing ovation at the end of the song, as she stood with more fake blood dripping from her teeth, as well as the bloody background wall behind her stage.

The night's next performance was delivered from outside of the arena, with cameras allowed in Las Vegas' new venue the Sphere for the first time as U2 gave a rendition of 'Atomic City', though it was unclear if the footage was live or not.

Host Trevor Noah simply said: “We are leaving Los Angeles for a moment and going to Las Vegas for the venue that everybody has been talking about this past year. Remember, no television cameras have ever been allowed inside until right now.”

The performance began on the staggering 580,000-foot LED screen on the exterior of the building before zooming in to reveal the band - who opened the venue in September last year - mid-song.

After they had finished the track, frontman Bono then introduced the nominees for the Best Pop Vocal Album accolade, which ultimately went to Taylor Swift for 'Midnights'.
