Joshua Jackson ‘officially dating’ Lupita Nyong’o after their painful break-ups
With insiders saying they bonded over their respective painful splits from their exes, Joshua Jackson and Lupita Nyong’o are reportedly officially an item.

The former ‘Dawson’s Creek’ actor, 45, and the ‘Black Panther’ actress, 40, sparked speculation in October they were an item when they enjoyed a Janelle Monáe concert together, shortly after their respective splits from actress Jodie Turner Smith, 37, and presenter Selema Masekela, 52, were announced.
Sources told the DailyMail.com bonding over their break-ups saw their friendship turn into a “romance”.
An insider: “Things have slowly turned to romance between the two. They have been amazing friends for a long time and Josh didn’t want to ruin that.
“But as they’ve hung out more and more and dealt with their breakups, dealing with it together has added another level to their friendship. Now it is a physical relationship. They are a couple.”
The claim they are officially dating comes a day after the new couple were seen shopping together at organic market, Erewhon, before driving off in a car with Lupita’s rescue cat YoYo with them.
It was their public outing since October – which came a day before Lupita confirmed her split from Selema – and a month after Joshua split from Jodie, with whom he has three-year-old daughter Juno.
A source has told DailyMail.com the pair were attempting to take things slow after their splits, adding: “Joshua has a type and Lupita definitely fits that to a tee. But they are just friends – it is still a little early for Joshua to start dating again.”
But they stressed: “Could he be an item with Lupita down the road? Without question... they are both still going through it with their recent breakups and still are looking to heal.”
Insiders added Joshua had been left “heartbroken” over his split from Jodie who filed for divorce after nearly four years citing irreconcilable differences.
