Lorraine Kelly has ruled out having cosmetic surgery.

The 66-year-old presenter insists that she has no inclination to go under the knife because she feels that tweaks have left other public figures with a "strange" appearance.

In an interview with Bella magazine, Lorraine said: "I still haven't had anything done surgery-wise, and I don't really want to.

"I see too many people in the public eye who have had things done, and it can look a bit strange.

"I don't mind lines – I call them laughter lines. I'm quite lucky because I've got a quite a fat face, and I've got cheekbones, so I think that helps to make me look a little bit younger."

Lorraine has dropped two dress sizes in recent months and revealed that she and her husband Steve Smith made changes to their lifestyle ahead of their daughter Rosie's wedding in July.

The broadcaster said: "Me and Steve both lost weight for Rosie's wedding because back in April, he tried his kilt on and it wouldn't fasten!

"So, he said, 'Right, the two of us need to do something.' I was chunky – I'd been comfort eating, and that was a wake-up call. So we both really got onto it. We stopped boozing and the chocolate plate at night."

Lorraine explained that going to the gym and "massive walks" have been key to her health kick.

Asked what's helped her, she said: "Going to the gym twice a week and taking massive walks.

"We joined a local gym and started doing some classes that are specifically for people over 60. They're hard, but they're for muscle toning and balance; all of these things that you need as you get older.

"I'm still of a certain age – none of us are completely happy when we look at our arms. But they are a lot better now, because I've been using weights a lot which has definitely toned everything up."

Lorraine has fronted her eponymous ITV morning show for the past 16 years but she insists that family is now more important than her career.

The star, who became a grandmother in 2024, said: "Work is great, but at the end of the day, it's just a job. It's a great job, don't get me wrong.

"And all of the other things that I do are fantastic, they really are. I'm very lucky and very blessed.

"But really, take all that away, and I've still got my family and my pals. Becoming a grandmother – that's what it's all about.

"And sometimes it can take people a long time to realise that, but it's the most important thing of all."
