Joe Lycett is the first celebrity to be confirmed for Gogglebox's Stand Up To Cancer special.

The 38-year-old comedian will be joined on the sofa by his aunties Pauline and Margaret as they watch some of the week's best TV in the charity special of the Channel 4 favourite that airs this Friday (23.10.26).

In an amusing clip showing their preparation for the show, Joe says: "Hello, Joe Lycett here and who I am here with?"

His aunties reply: "Auntie Margaret and Auntie Pauline."

Joe continues: "And we are thrilled to join the Gogglebox special supporting Stand Up To Cancer. What are we doing?"

The aunties say: "We're watching a lot of TV and eating chocolate."

Joe replies: "And we can't wait to see you on Friday. Bye!"

Meanwhile, Lycett admitted that he paid the price for being a "silly billy" as he became the latest contestant to be banished from the castle in the BBC's The Celebrity Traitors.

The comic, who was a Faithful, believes he paid the price for his desperation to be a Traitor.

Joe told the BBC: "I’m a silly billy - it was a combination of me begging for recruitment and then the Faithful being thick as mince and not thinking the obvious recruitment would be Joe.

"I don't blame them, because I would have done the same. I concede I've done this very much to myself, but I was too hungry to be recruited. And you know, if being passionate is a crime, then banish me from the castle."

Joe is a loyal fan of the hit TV show - but he now looks back on his Celebrity Traitors experience with a tinge of regret.

The Lycett Arms host added: "I'm a fan of the show, I really love this programme, and I wanted to get as much of the experience as possible.

"I wanted to know what it felt like to be a Faithful and what it felt like to be a Traitor. So it was just a desire to absorb as much of the experience as possible.

"But I hadn't factored into that that I'm a silly billy, so I sabotage myself sometimes. I think I did get a very me experience of what it was like to be me on The Traitors. I don't feel like I pretended to be someone else."
