Strictly Come Dancing professional Vito Coppola wants to dance to the EastEnders theme with his partner Lacey Turner.

The 38-year-old actress is famous for her role as Stacey Slater in BBC One soap EastEnders, and she and Vito made it through another week of the ballroom competition after they performed an American Smooth to Adele's Hometown Glory for Icons Week.

Vito would love to choreograph a dance to the show's theme song, which Anita Dobson - who played Queen Vic landlady Angie Watts - released as a single titled Anyone Can Fall in Love, which was a number one hit in 1986.

When asked if a dance to the theme was in his plans, Vito said: "Of course, I love the EastEnders theme!

"I've started to keep up with EastEnders now. I've already met other people from EastEnders, but this is year where I get to dance with an EastEnder. I am happy, I am excited and I am grateful as well."

Vito admits the biggest obstacle to Lacey getting to the final of the competition is her nerves.

Viewers spotted that Lacey seemed to be on the verge of tears as the results were being read out on Sunday night (18.10.26) as she anxiously waited to discover if she had survived another week on Strictly.

To try and calm her down before hitting the dancefloor, Vito has devised a special ritual to calm Lacey down.

Speaking to BANG Showbiz at the recent Virgin Atlantic Attitude Awards, he said: "We do an exercise, before going live. We hold each other's hands, we close our eyes and we take five deep breaths together, we synchronise together, because we are dancing as two bodies, but we need to dance as one, as if we are in a bubble. For me, it's about having the best time with Lacey and I want her to see how beautiful and amazing she is."

Paralympian Sarah Storey and her professional dance partner Julian Caillon became the third couple to be eliminated from Strictly Come Dancing on Sunday.

Storey and Caillon were voted off the BBC One show after they failed to impress the judges with a tango to Shania Twain's That Don't Impress Me Much.
