Hollyoaks star Stuart Manning was rushed to hospital after suffering nasty burns to his right hand and arm.
The 47-year-old actor, who played Russ Owen on the Channel 4 soap from 2004 until 2009, before he returned for a brief stint in 2018, took to Instagram Stories on Saturday (10.10.26) to give fans a glimpse of his painful injury.
In his first post, Stuart showed his arm covered with a grey towel, writing over the shot: "Burnt my hand!! (sic)"
Despite the painful-looking injury, the soap star smiled as he posed for a picture in hospital alongside the paramedic who treated him.
Stuart later shared a video that showed a huge pink burn that stretched across his right hand and arm, with a series of blisters visible on his skin.
He urged his followers: "Don’t play with fires."
In his final story upload, the entertainer posted a photo of his entire right arm and hand wrapped in bandages, accompanying the image with the caption: "Oooops."
It is unclear what caused the injury or what degree of burns Stuart sustained.
Stuart shot to fame in 2004 when he joined Hollyoaks as Russ Owen, a role he played from 2004 until 2009.
The character returned in 2018, but the comeback was short-lived as Russ was murdered by serial killer Breda McQueen (Moya Brady) on his wedding day to her niece Mercedes (Jennifer Metcalfe).
In 2009, Stuart took part in the ITV jungle survival show, I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!, making it all the way to fifth place after taking part in gruesome Bushtucker Trials and living in a critter-filled Australian jungle.
As well as Hollyoaks, the star has also appeared in the BBC's medical dramas Holby City, Doctors and Casualty, as well as the Channel 4 school drama, Ackley Bridge.
