Coronation Street bosses have teased a dangerous love triangle involving Jodie Ramsey and her sister Shona's husband David Platt.
The ITV soap has dropped a new promo revealing the dramatic showdown involving the three characters as tensions bubble over into threats.
Jodie (Olivia Frances Brown) has been looking to get revenge against Shona (Julia Goulding) all year over her decision to run away from home as a pregnant teenager.
Now, her plot is about to be dialled up to another level as she tells David (Jack P. Shepherd) that he "deserves someone that will treat you right".
In the trailer, Shona finds out what her sibling has done, and warns Jodie to back off "before I drag you away".
In a press release, ITV teased: "How far will Jodie go to get what she wants and what lengths will Shona go to in order to stop her?"
Meanwhile, Olivia has admitted her character has "lost the plot" and actually believes David can solve her problems.
She said: "“Jodie has convinced herself that David symbolises her potential for future happiness.
"She’s lost the plot a little bit and truly believes David is the answer to all her wants and needs.
“When pushed, you just don't know what Jodie’s capable of. She has a lot of dark secrets and has a genuinely sinister side to her.”
During next week's episodes, Jodie will swap her dad Doug's (Steve Evets) anti-psychotic medication for painkillers.
This week, Olivia teased that things are set to go from bad to worse for her cobbles alter ego.
She told the Metro: "It's gonna be a bleak Christmas for Jodie, that's all I'm gonna say... Everybody's gonna enjoy that, let's be honest."
Her comments came as Corrie won nine prizes at this year's Soap Awards, including the coveted Best Soap gong.
Corrie's Gareth Pierce - who portrays Todd Grimshaw - won Best Actor over EastEnders' Paul Bradley (Nigel Bates), Emmerdale's Jeff Hordley (Cain Dingle), Hollyoaks star Danny Mac (Dodger Savage) and Home and Away actor Ethan Browne (Tane Parata).
Gareth also won the Best Storyline prize - for a hard-hitting plot that has seen his character Todd suffer abuse at the hands of Theo Silverton (James Cartwright) - and he was "thrilled" with the double victory.
Corrie's James won Best Villain for his portrayal of Theo, and he admitted it was "great" playing a bad boy.
He told The Sun newspaper: "It's a great thing being a villain. It's a real pleasure."
The Best Actress prize also headed back to Weatherfield after Vicky Myers took home the accolade for her role as Lisa Connor-Swain.
She saw off Diane Parish (Denise Fox, EastEnders), Emma Atkins (Charity Dingle, Emmerdale), Alex Fletcher (Diane Hutchinson, Hollyoaks), and Emily Weir (Mackenzie Booth, Home and Away) for the award.
Another big category on the night was Best Showstopper, and ITV's Coronation Street-Emmerdale crossover Corriedale triumphed over Hollyoaks' return to Brookside Close, Home and Away's train crash, and the EastEnders 90s special about Nigel's past.
