The 53-year-old actor - who has previously hosted Top Gear, Take Me Out and Question of Sport - has announced that he's joining forces with mixed martial arts fighter Tom Aspinall to launch a new YouTube show that explores his mid-life health kick.

During an appearance on Tom's podcast, Paddy shared: "I’ve got a new YouTube thing starting — I’m going to be getting Tom on one of them — which is more of a fitnessy kind of thing."

Last year, Paddy completed 75 Hard, the well-known, 75-day fitness challenge that involves abstinence from alcohol, a strict diet, drinking four litres of water, two 45-minute workouts and reading ten pages of non-fiction.

Paddy subsequently credited Steve Coleman, his personal trainer, for helping him to navigate the challenge of 75 Hard.

The actor told Men's Health magazine in March: "I wouldn’t have known where to start and I think that’s where a lot of people fall down with training. No matter how willing you are and how many times you train, if you have the wrong food at the wrong time, it cocks you up."

Paddy posed shirtless for the cover of Men's Health and he admitted to feeling proud of his physical transformation.

Paddy - who hosts The Good the Bad the Football podcast alongside Paul Scholes and Nicky Butt - said: "Just on a personal note, being 52 and a regular bloke, it’s nice to show other blokes it’s attainable."

Paddy also joked about the reaction of his friends and family to his transformation.

He shared: "A few people went, 'Clearly you’ve AI’d the first picture.' F****** hell, you’re supposed to AI the after picture, not the before! I thought, 'Jesus, that’s how bad I looked!'"

Paddy embraced the routine and the clarity that the fitness challenge gave him.

The comedy star - who was married to Christine McGuinness between 2011 and 2024 - said: "I think one of the biggest things is the clarity you feel – you’re reading books every night, you’re in a routine, your diet’s good."
