Antony Cotton's partner "burst out crying" after seeing the star's "dramatic" weight loss when they reunited at the end of the bridge on I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! in 2011.

The Coronation Street star shed "just under two stone" after 21 days on basic rations and small portions in the ITV show's critter-filled Australian jungle, with Antony's long-time partner, prop buyer Peter Eccleston, shocked when he could no longer fit into his clothes.

Appearing on ITV's Good Morning Britain on Thursday (27.08.26), Antony told hosts Adil Ray, 52, and 49-year-old Ranvir Singh: "I lost just under two stone in 21 days. It is very dramatic. Even when you win 12 stars, the portioning is tiny amounts.

"When I walked across the bridge, 'cause I stayed right to the end, I didn't win - I was fuming - my other half burst out crying 'cause I was so thin. And then all my clothes in the hotel didn't fit me. I hadn't seen it, so I didn't understand it."

Antony - who plays Sean Tully in Coronation Street - finished fourth behind third-placed, retired javelin thrower Fatima Whitbread, 65, runner-up, The Only Way Is Essex alum Mark Wright, 39, and winner, 38-year-old McFly member Dougie Poynter.

In 2024, Antony warned his Coronation Street co-star Alan Halsall, 44, to cut down his portion sizes before heading into the jungle that year.

But the Tyrone Dobbs actor did the exact opposite, instead drinking more coffee and Guinness ahead of his stint.

During a November 2024 appearance on Good Morning Britain, Antony shared: "I said to Alan, 'You've got to be really careful.'

"He's done the opposite of what I said. I said, 'Start to make your portions smaller, start to take things out.'

"No, he's done the opposite; he's had loads of Guinness, he's had loads of coffee. I lost two stone in 24 days (in the jungle)."

He added: "Whatever works for him. He's going to have a ball, and people are going to love him. Honestly, he'll get on with everybody, because he's the loveliest man."

Alan finished sixth on the 2024 series of I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here!, with McFly's Danny Jones, 40, being crowned the King of the Jungle.

Antony added that the show is "such an adventure" and he would "do it again in a heartbeat".
