The 46-year-old star shot to fame when she won the third series of the show back in 2002 and she has gone on to enjoy a successful radio show, so producers think she's the ideal choice to interview this year's departed housemates on the spin-off.
A source told The Sun newspaper: “Kate is an ideal presenter for the show as she knows exactly what it’s like to be in the house.
“She also has a huge fanbase from her years as a radio presenter. Cult fans of the series will appreciate this signing.”
It was previously reported that Chris Hughes - who found love in 2025's Celebrity Big Brother with fellow housemate JoJo Siwa - was also in talks for the programme.
A source said: “Chris is super popular online and bosses know he would be a ratings winner.
“He and JoJo have a legion of fans and have become part of the special group of people who have found love in the house.
“ITV has seen the success of the Love Island podcast this year and want to replicate that with Big Brother.
“JoJo is currently tied up with other commitments but would be welcome on to the show should the dates work for her.”
The new visualised podcast replaces Big Brother Late and Live, which has been axed after three series.
AJ Odudu and Will Best will return as hosts of the main ITV2 show, but a new trailer has teased this year's contestants are in for an eventful Big Brother experience.
The promotional clip promised a "new house every week" as a video of different eyes in close-up played.
The accompanying audio teased: “Big Brother is back. But if you think you know the game, think again.
“A new house every week… fresh chaos, daily. Everything can change in the blink of an eye.”
Big Brother series 23 will be longer than recent installments, running for a total of eight weeks.
