Gordon Ramsay has revealed his eldest daughter Megan Ramsay is engaged.

The announcement gives the celebrity chef, 59, another family wedding to look forward to just eight months after his daughter Holly Ramsay married Olympic swimmer Adam Ramsay-Peaty amid a bitter feud with his family.

Hell’s Kitchen star Gordon announced the news during an appearance on Live with Kelly and Mark while discussing 26-year-old Holly’s wedding to Adam, 31, at Bath Abbey on December 27.

Gordon initially referred only to his “other daughter”, but his representative subsequently confirmed to the Daily Mail Megan, 28, was the daughter who had become engaged.

Gordon said of Holly’s wedding: “Yeah, it was just one of those amazing moments. And the speech, it’s just your little girl, right?

“I bawled my eyes out. I was a hot, freaking mess, man. I’m telling you. Honestly, it was just so emotional but the day goes so quick, right?

“And then last week, our other daughter announced her wedding as well. So it’s rolling... .”

Megan keeps her private life largely out of the spotlight and does not have a public social media profile. Details of her fiancé have not been publicly confirmed.

Gordon previously discussed Megan’s romantic life during a 2022 appearance on The Kelly Clarkson Show, when he revealed she had started seeing an ex-boyfriend named Byron again and described making what he called a “terrifying FaceTime call” to him.

He said at the time: “I did something really bad last week. Megan started seeing her ex-boyfriend again and his name’s Byron... he was OK to begin with, a little bit wet.

“You want a man to date your daughter and he was just a little bit pathetic. I want to kill the little f*****! I kid you not, I found out his telephone number from our youngest daughter Tilly.

“She gave me it and said, ‘Dad, don’t do anything’, and I said, ‘No, just give me it, if anything’s wrong I need his number on my phone’.

“So I waited to find out when they were having dinner together and I FaceTimed him. He answered the phone and the thing was shaking.

“I said, ‘Byron, it’s me! Not your future father-in-law, you little f***!’ Megan leant over and pushed and cut me off, which was so rude!”

Gordon and his wife Tana Ramsay, 52, have six children – Megan, Holly, Holly’s twin Jack Ramsay, 26, Tilly Ramsay, 24, Oscar Ramsay, seven, and Jesse Ramsay, two.

The latest engagement comes during a period of major changes for the family.

Holly and Adam announced in June they are expecting their first child together, following their star-studded wedding at Bath Abbey.

Their marriage has unfolded against the backdrop of Adam’s continuing estrangement from members of his family.

The tensions were back in the headlines during this summer’s Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, where Adam competed under the name Adam Ramsay-Peaty and won bronze in both the 100 metre and 50 metre breaststroke.

Following one of his races, the three-time Olympic champion spoke publicly about the pressure surrounding his private life and criticised coverage of the family dispute.

Adam said: “You don’t know who I am. And people who comment, people who see the story because you read a headline, they’ve got to look themselves in the mirror. You can’t hurt me.”

He added: “That hasn’t played a part in the sense of what I’ve experienced, because I’m still happy with that result in some sense, but it has to stop. How many athletes, how many people, have to go through this until the media learn their lesson? You have to learn and do better.”

Gordon, meanwhile, remains one of television’s best-known chefs after becoming internationally famous through shows including Hell’s Kitchen, Kitchen Nightmares, MasterChef and MasterChef Junior. His latest family and business ventures have also been documented in the six-part Netflix series Being Gordon Ramsay.

The documentary follows Gordon as he balances life with Tana and their six children with the expansion of his restaurant empire, including the opening of five dining concepts at 22 Bishopsgate in London.
