Mark Wright fears he has fractured his back just months after he sustained a stress fracture on his right rib.
The 39-year-old TV personality has been battling ongoing back pain for the past five weeks after he initially dismissed a "pop" or "tear" as a muscular injury, and an ultrasound has suggested that he may have suffered another fracture.
This week, Mark posted a video on his golfing TikTok account, explaining that he was having a CT scan to determine the extent of the suspected fracture, noting that "it’s not looking good" and he could be unable to play golf for three months.
The Only Way Is Essex alum said: "You’ve probably been thinking, 'Where’s he been? Where’s the golf content?' Well, remember that stress fracture I had on my rib, on the right side, a couple of months back?
"About five weeks ago I felt a pop, or a tear, in my back, and I just thought it was a muscular thing.
"But five weeks on, and it’s not better, so I went for an ultrasound scan last night, and it looks like I’ve got another fracture.
"I think I did them at the same time. This has been going on since February, by the way, so I’ve had five weeks of golf in pain, by the way. So, I’m here about to have a CT scan to see the results; it’s not looking good."
Mark - who is married to 39-year-old former Coronation Street star Michelle Keegan - continued: "It’s been a devastating year, but that’s what you get, I suppose, for training - doing too much, trying to get down too quick.
"Next time, I need to manage my body, but I don’t know how long; if it’s a deep fracture I could be 12 weeks. Absolutely gutted."
Mark captioned the upload: "It’s been a tough few months to say the least."
Fans rushed to the post's comments section to wish him a speedy recovery, as one penned: "Sending positive thoughts and vibes, take care of your health, main thing, much love (sic)."
A second supporter typed: "Health is more important than everything you just focus on getting better (sic)."
And a third follower wrote: "Get well soon buddy."
