The Voice set for 'revolution', but how?
The Voice is likely to see a little "revolution", according to an insider.
The Voice is poised for a "revolution" after Kelly Rowland joined the line-up of mentors.
The former Destiny's Child star will appear on the ITV show - which will return in the autumn - alongside Sir Tom Jones, Danny Jones, Will.i.am and Tom Fletcher, but the new series is set to look a little different.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "This is a bit of a revolution for The Voice, which has pretty much remained unchanged since it launched in the UK in 2012.
"The rewind element will see the judges given the power to perform a U-turn on a previous decision to pass over a performer.
"It means they can reflect, then add them to their team, which will certainly keep the singers on their toes."
Kelly Rowland joined The Voice's panel in 2025, with the former Destiny's Child singer revealing that she was excited by the opportunity.
Kelly, 45 - who previously appeared as a judge on the UK version of The X Factor - said at the time: "I am excited to join The Voice UK as a coach, and am looking forward to working with the excellent and passionate coaches the show is known for.
"I can’t wait to hear all the new talent and to go to battle for my team. Let’s go!"
Sir Tom also revealed that he was looking forward to working with Kelly.
The chart-topping singer - who first starred on The Voice back in 2012 - said: "It’s always a pleasure to return to The Voice UK as every year I’m reminded of the incredible talent we have in this country.
"I’m looking forward to sitting alongside will.i.am once again, having Tom and Danny in their chair for a second series, and of course I’m excited to welcome Kelly Rowland to the panel. She’s an amazing artist with a huge amount of experience to share."
