TikTok comedian Shabaz Ali has reportedly joined the line-up for the next series of The Great Celebrity Bake Off: Stand Up to Cancer.

The star will be hoping to impress judges Paul Hollywood, 60, and Nigella Lawson, 66, with his bakes, while helping attract younger viewers to the Channel 4 show.

A source told The Sun: "Shabaz may not be a household name, but he’s massive on social media and will bring lots of younger viewers to Celeb Bake Off, which is what TV channels are always after as they are what advertisers want.

"He’s also hilarious so will bring lots of laughs to the tent, he’s one to watch."

Shabaz shot to fame on Channel 4's The Circle in 2021, and recently fronted the BBC Three documentary called Shabaz Asks: Are Billionaires Bad?.

BBC Radio 1 DJ Jo Whiley, 61, is also reported to have signed up for The Great Celebrity Bake Off: Stand Up to Cancer.

Last month, a source told The Sun: "Channel 4 are thrilled to get Jo in the tent. She’s a national treasure and a great booking for a great cause.

"Filming has just wrapped, but viewers will have to wait until next year to see how Jo fares against Paul Hollywood."

Strictly Come Dancing judge Anton Du Beke, 60, and The Celebrity Traitors 2025 Faithful Joe Marler, 35, are also believed to be joining Jo and Shabaz.

Also in July, a source told The Sun newspaper's TVBiz column: "Anton is always TV gold and has even won a National Television Award for Talent Show Judge because he is loved by so many.

"Likewise Joe’s good nature and quick wit won him hordes of new fans when he appeared on The Celebrity Traitors so he will no doubt be brilliant on Bake Off.

"Of course it’s all for charity so no one will mind, but it’ll no doubt be noted that two of the Beeb’s finest have lent a hand for Channel 4.

"The BBC were quick to cultivate a profile for Joe as one of their flock after The Traitors with his own BBC podcast, Joe Marler Will See You Now."

Anton may have an advantage on The Great Celebrity Bake Off: Stand Up To Cancer as he worked as a trainee baker at the age of 17.

Also, the dancer, his wife Hannah, and their twins, George and Henrietta, starred in a baking series segment on ITV's This Morning in December 2020.

Anton Du Bake At Christmas was a three-part segment that included documenting their trip to buy a Christmas tree, going on winter walks, a lesson in wreath making, and how to make stained glass biscuits, mince puffs, and a Christmas trifle.

A Channel 4 spokesman said: "Celebrity Bake Off line-up will be announced in due course and until then all names are speculation."
