Declan Donnelly stuns fans as he debuts beard
Declan Donnelly has surprised fans with his new look.
Declan Donnelly has stunned fans with his new beard - which Ant McPartlin thought he could not grow.
The 50-year-old TV presenter ditched his clean-shaven appearance for a new rugged look, which he debuted on his and 50-year-old Ant's Belta Box podcast.
Bringing up Dec's stubble, Ant asked: "Woah, woah, woah, woah, woah. Do you have a beard?!"
Laughing, Dec replied: "I do have a suggestion of a beard at the moment.
"We have obviously been off work now for about a week, so I haven’t shaved for a week.”
Ant joked: "At last! We thought it couldn’t happen. I didn’t think it could happen! But Dec has grown a beard."
As Dec got closer to the camera to give fans a closer look at the hair on his face, Ant noted: "You don't look much like [singer] Alfie Boe as I thought you would."
Dec responded: "Oh, OK. That’s where you had me."
His right-hand man added: "Well, that's what we all thought. That you might look a bit like Alfie Boe, but you don’t."
Dec wondered: "Do I just look like me with a beard?"
Ant said: "You just look like Dec with a beard and glasses. Suddenly you look like a character in Guess Who!"
However, Dec plans to shave off his beard soon.
He said: "It’s driving me mad, I can’t wait to get rid of it. I’ve just entered the itchy phase."
Fans flocked to the post's comments section to react to Dec's beard, as one penned: "Wow Dec looking good."
A second supporter typed: "You look so young x definitely looks better with it hahaha (sic)."
A third follower wrote: "Omg he looks the same but so different at the same time (sic)."
And a fourth urged: "No, no, no don't shave."
In January, the duo, who front I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here!, Britain's Got Talent, and Limitless Win for ITV, launched Belta Box and their podcast, Hanging Out With Ant and Dec.
It is home to their podcast, new digital formats and classic moments from some of their most popular programmes.
Belta Box is available across digital platforms including YouTube, Facebook, Instagram and TikTok.
Ant said: "We've spent our whole careers celebrating great entertainment, so launching Belta Box feels like the natural next step.
"Alongside our new podcast, we're excited to create a space packed with fun, feel-good content that brings people together – no matter where they're watching or listening."
Dec added: "And what better way to launch Belta Box than with our first-ever podcast series.
"We asked our audience if we did a podcast, what would they like it to be about, and they said we just want you guys to hang out. So that's what we're doing.
"Ant and I don't get to hang out as much as we used to, so it's perfect for us."
