Jake Shears and Josh Homme sign up for Celebrity Gogglebox
Scissor Sisters star Jake Shears is doing Channel 4's Celebrity Gogglebox with his pal, Queens Of The Stone Age musician Josh Homme.
Scissor Sisters' Jake Shears and Queens Of The Stone Age's Josh Homme have signed up for Celebrity Gogglebox.
Fans of the Channel 4 show will see the musicians reacting to some of the trending TV shows and movies on Friday (17.07.26).
Jake, 47, said: "Josh and I have spent years making noise for a living, so sitting on a sofa and talking over the television felt surprisingly natural.
"We laughed far more than we probably should have and somehow got away with calling it work.
"It was a longtime dream to be part of Celebrity Gogglebox."
Josh, 53, added: "You’ve never watched anyone watch tv until you’ve watched Josh and Jake watching TV. And then you know you’ve watched it.
"So set your watch for 9pm on Friday. We are breaking ground that should largely have gone unbroken."
It comes as The Saturdays member Mollie King, 39, and her fiance, cricketer Stuart Broad, 40, joined Celebrity Gogglebox earlier this month.
She said: "Getting to do Celebrity Gogglebox with Stuart was such a lovely experience.
"Between juggling busy schedules, there's nothing I enjoy more than switching off together in front of the TV, so it felt really special to share a little bit of that with viewers.
"We had so many laughs filming it and, although I can't promise we agreed on every programme, we had the best time."
Stuart added: "Celebrity Gogglebox was a genuinely enjoyable experience and a chance to show what Mollie and I are really like when the remote control is up for grabs.
"We had plenty of opinions, a few disagreements and a lot of laughs along the way."
Olivia Attwood, 35, and her mum, Jennifer, also appear on the programme, which the Love Island alum credited for bringing back quality bonding time between them.
During the pair's appearance on ITV's This Morning on June 8, Olivia told hosts Ben Shephard, 51, and 49-year-old Cat Deeley: "We've had two sleepovers.
"In adult life, and if you don't live at home, how often do you sit down with your parents and watch television? You don't, really, because if we see each other, we go for dinner, or we're doing family-related things.
"It was fun."
Meanwhile, Olivia's boyfriend Pete Wicks, 37, stars in Celebrity Gogglebox with fellow reality TV star, 38-year-old Vicky Pattison.
Some of the show's regular famous faces include TV presenter Rylan Clark, 37, and his mum Linda, The Big Breakfast hosts Denise Van Outen, 52, and Johnny Vaughan, 60, father-and-son duo, Spandau Ballet bassist Martin Kemp, 64, and The One Show co-host Roman Kemp, 33, and The Happy Mondays' Bez, 62, and 63-year-old Shaun Ryder.
