Helen Flanagan has opened up about casual sex and suffering "terrible rejection sensitivity".

The former Coronation Street actress took to social media to give her searingly honest opinions on several subjects, in a series of Instagram posts entitled: "Things I experience as an ADHD woman", and she blasted men who ghost girls after sleeping with them as "big fat rats".

She wrote: "When it comes to sex, I'm not a casual girl. I'm a lover girl/wifey, and I do get attached.

"I think guys that ghost girls after sleeping with them are big fat rats LOL.

"I go for someone that I find exciting, I go for a soul connection.

"Someone that makes me feel understood. I look for the male version of me."

Helen - who has three children, daughters Matilda, 11, and Delilah, eight, as well as five-year-old son, Charlie, with her former fiancé, pro footballer Scott Sinclair - insists she has "always been a romantic" and has been "boy mad" since she was 14 years old.

She added: "It's always very intense, and I fall in love hard.

"Doesn't mean that it's not genuine, as at the time it is.

"My second boyfriend was my kids' dad, who I was with for 13 years, and I had his name tattooed at 19 LOL."

The former Celebs Go Dating star also told how she experiences limerence - an involuntary state of intense romantic obsession or infatuation with another person - and she suffers from "terrible rejection sensitivity".

She added: "Last time I had proper feelings for someone, it just felt a lot. Intense.

"My friends say I'm like Cathy Earnshaw in Wuthering Heights LOL.

"I get limerence, and I always get terrible rejection sensitivity, but I'm learning to deal with that better."

Earlier this year, Helen said she would "definitely not" date another footballer, and admitted she doesn't want to have to "tone [herself] down" for any potential love interests.

The soap star told the Daily Mail: "I feel like I've had to shrink myself sometimes.

"I think it's a really lovely feeling when you're with a man and you feel like I can really be myself here and they think I'm great, they think I'm really funny and I don't have to tone myself down."
