Diana Vickers ended her year-long celibacy when she slept with a colleague.

The 34-year-old star gave up sex for a year, after a string of dating disasters, but Diana has revealed that she recently returned to the bedroom because she craved some intimacy.

Speaking to Fabulous Magazine, Diana explained: "It got to the year mark, which I wanted to reach, and I celebrated it by sleeping with someone I worked with."

The blonde beauty - who was a semi-finalist on The X Factor in 2008 - explained that it was "a really lovely experience with a really lovely guy, who I've stayed friends with since".

Diana is currently single, but she wants to settle down at some stage in the near future.

The singer - who was in a relationship with musician George Craig for four years, before their split in 2015 - shared: "It would be nice to share that deep connection with someone, to have them absolutely fancying the pants off you and listening to you and laughing and lighting you up.

"I never feel lonely as my life is so full, but there is something in me at the moment where I'd like that now."

By contrast, Diana previously insisted that she's "okay with being alone".

The singer has been single for years, and Diana has actually grown used to being alone.

Speaking on the Just Between Us podcast, Diana explained: "When I see a couple really in love with each other - it hits me.

"I guess I am okay with being alone. I have done it for quite a long time now. I dated, had small relationships – but nothing serious over the past seven years.

"It does tug at my heart strings when I see a couple. I was in Italy recently and this couple was getting off the coach to go to the airport. They were snogging, devouring each other.

"I was like, oh my God – that's so nice. To be wanted like that, it's difficult to see."
