Sir Christopher Dean has been tipped to enter the jungle on the new series of I’m A Celebrity ... Get Me Out Of Here!

The Olympic ice dancer is believed to be in talks with producers about signing up for the ITV survival show, which would mark his big TV return after he bowed out of his longtime role on Dancing On Ice along with his former skating partner Dame Jayne Torvill.

A source told The Sun newspaper: "Christopher is part of the ITV family thanks to his time on Dancing On Ice, but he’s always been adamant the jungle isn’t for him.

"When bosses came knocking this year, he saw it in a different light. He’s recently retired and is looking for a new challenge. I’m A Celebrity is certainly that, so he has met with producers a few times already to talk through being a campmate for this year’s standard Australian series.

"Everyone at ITV has their fingers crossed that they will secure him."

Christopher and Jayne - who famously took gold at the 1984 Winter Olympics - confirmed they would be stepping away from Dancing On Ice shortly before the show was axed last year and the pair also announced their retirement from performing after one final skating tour, which concluded last summer.

The regular series of I’m A Celebrity ... Get Me Out Of Here! - which is filmed in Australia - is believed to be returning to TV later in the year while spin-off show I'm A Celebrity ... South Africa - which debuted in 2023 - is unlikely to return to TV for another three years after the show was marred by a massive bust-up between eventual winner Adam Thomas and former footballer Jimmy Bullard, who sensationally accused the actor of being "abusive, aggressive and intimidating" after flying into a rage when Jimmy quit a trial.

Another spin-off called I'm a Celebrity: The Wild Frontier is being made in Canada featuring a new format which pairs celebrities together to tackle trials and survive in the wilderness.

The Sun previously reported pop stars Keith Duffy and Brian McFadden are the first famous faces to have signed up to take part in The Wild Frontier, which is expected to launch in 2027.
