Hollyoaks legend Jeremy Edwards is launching a new podcast which will explore his ADHD
Former Hollyoaks actor Jeremy Edwards has teamed up with The 6 Pack Revolution founder Scott Harrison for a new podcast Two Men…and a Maybe.
Former Hollyoaks star Jeremy Edwards is entering the podcast world - and is launching a show that will delve into how he lives with ADHD.
The 55-year-old actor - who played biker hunk Kurt Benson on the Channel 4 soap in the ‘90s - has teamed up with The 6 Pack Revolution founder Scott Harrison for the Two Men…and a Maybe podcast.
Jeremy signed up to Scott’s training programme after his weight ballooned to 16 stone due to bad eating habits, but in just 75 days he got ripped thanks to his sessions with Scott.
And it was during those hours in the gym that the pair began developing a genuine friendship and as they trained together, their conversations evolved beyond health and fitness into the realities of middle age, family life, careers, relationships and everything in between.
That was then the pair hatched their idea for the podcast that will deal with how Jeremy’s later life ADHD diagnosis has impacted him, social injustices, navigating the modern world as two middle aged guys and parenthood challenges.
Jaine Brent - Jeremy’s agent and founder of the Fabulous Me PR and Media company - said: “It became clear early on that Jeremy and Scott had a great bond and they quickly became friends.
“They chatted about all aspects of their lives, dealing with middle age, parenting, their careers and much more.
“They quickly decided to take it out of the gym and into the studio as a podcast. Nothing will be off limits as they tackle modern life for two middle aged blokes. They cannot wait to get started.”
Jeremy started filming the podcast this week and it is the beginning of an exciting new chapter in his career.
After openly admitting that his acting roles have dried up in the last few years, Jeremy has reinvented himself.
He has made regular guest appearances on Vanessa Feltz’s Channel 5 show, and he is about to release his book, Taking the Drama Out of Public Speaking, which shares practical advice and confidence-building techniques drawn from his years in television, theatre and public life.
Alongside the podcast and book launch, Jeremy is also looking forward to expanding his work as an event host, awards presenter, after-dinner speaker and keynote speaker, drawing on decades of experience in television, theatre and live broadcasting.
Jeremy was diagnosed with ADHD in 2022 and he has claimed that the condition played a part in his split from his fiancée S Club 7 star Rachel Stevens in 2003 and his capacity to cope with the pressures of fame.
The former Holby City star is now married to Lydia Metz with whom he has daughter Scarlett and son Teddy.
