Maura Higgins will serve as a muse and creative force at TRESemme.

The 35-year-old beauty - who first found fame on Love Island - has been announced as the first-ever Head of Hair at TRESemme Professional, and Maura "can't wait to create looks that show what's possible with truly high-performance products".

She said in a statement: "I'm all about women feeling powerful in their own skin - and their hair.

"I spent ten years working in a hair salon at the start of my career, so I've seen first-hand the transformative power hair has. I can't wait to create looks that show what's possible with truly high-performance products. Because when your hair feels incredible, so do you - and every woman deserves that feeling."

Maura's first campaign with the brand will premiere across TV and social later this month.

Luke Pluckrose, the TV star's long-time collaborator, has also been appointed as Head Stylist at TRESemme Professional.

Meanwhile, in 2020, Maura reportedly became a millionaire after signing a big-money deal with Ann Summers.

The TV star agreed a lucrative modelling contract with the lingerie retailer, with the deal said to be worth as much as £500,000.

A source told The Sun newspaper at the time: "Maura will be lapping up the fact 'Love Island' is cancelled this summer.

"Given the winter series failed to produce any real stars, she can continue to secure the most lucrative brand deals. She's a canny operator and knows she has a shelf-life, but Maura is definitely maximising her current popularity."

Maura was made the face of the Ann Summers swimwear range, and she admitted the deal represented a "dream come true".

Speaking about the range, she said: "Confidence comes from loving yourself and embracing your body, no matter what your shape or size.

"I want all women to feel sexy and beautiful, whatever the occasion, so it has been a dream come true for me to design this season's swimwear in collaboration with Ann Summers for SS20.

"From beautifully embellished monokinis to form-fitting bikinis I believe there is something for everyone."
