Will Mellor called 'absolute traitor' by racist troll
A racist X user called Elek Eklund took issue with Will, his wife, and mixed-race children starring in an advert for the holiday firm, Solmar Villas.
Will Mellor was branded an "absolute traitor" by a racist troll for appearing in an advert with his wife and mixed-race children.
Elek Eklund made two sickening X posts - now deleted - to vent his rage that the 50-year-old actor starred in an ad for holiday firm Solmar Villas, of which Will is brand ambassador, with his wife Michelle McSween, son Jayden and daughter Renee.
The evil X user penned: "@mellor76 I've just seen your holiday advert. You absolute TRAITOR! (sic)"
Coronation Street alum Will quoted the horrific upload, asking: "Why am I a traitor?!?! (sic)"
Elek responded in another post: "I'll give you a clue. OK. Will. British TV likes to give out the idea that mixed relationships are the norm. They're not. They exist of course yes but the norm though? No.
"You fell into it though. Personally, I would have refused to help... (sic)"
Quoting the second upload, Will fired back: "It's my f****** wife and children in the advert!!!?!??
"What are you talking about!??? (sic)"
The Strictly Come Dancing 2022 semi-finalist's fans condemned the loathsome troll's posts, as one penned: "Made yourself look like a right racist pillock here Elek lad."
A second supporter typed: "Don’t even rise to it. The guy is a racist. Blocked them ages ago, what an absolute scum of the earth s***gibbon they are."
A third follower wrote: "Ignore this p****. You have a beautiful family amigo!! (sic)"
And a fourth commented: "Sometimes hard to believe it’s 2026. Feels like we’re going backwards - and we all know why."
Will met dancer Michelle in 1999 when they both appeared in the musical Oh, What a Night.
After eight years of dating, they got married at a grand manor house in Warwickshire.
In an interview with the Sunday People at the time, Will gushed: "It's great being able to say 'My wife'.
"We were always a good unit, but now we're married, it feels stronger somehow, more solid. Can you believe it? I'm an old married man now, and I love it."
Will and Michelle welcomed their son Jayden and daughter Renee into the world in 2004 and 2008, respectively.
