Holly Hagan-Blyth: 'I hope we can use Darci's story to educate my son about drugs'
Holly Hagan-Blyth lost her 19-year-old half-sister, Darci, in October 2025 after she accidentally overdosed on crystal MDMA and suffered two cardiac arrests, and Holly hopes to use Darci's story to teach Alpha-Jax about the dangers of drugs.
Holly Hagan-Blyth hopes to use her half-sister's death to teach her son about the dangers of drugs.
Darci died aged 19 of organ failure, 48 hours after she accidentally overdosed on crystal MDMA and suffered two cardiac arrests during a night out at Manchester's Warehouse Project nightclub in October 2025.
And Holly, 33, keeps Darci's memory alive by reminding her and 33-year-old husband, footballer Jacob Blyth's two-year-old son Alpha-Jax just how special she was.
Holly wrote in Fabulous magazine: "I've been trying to speak to Alpha-Jax about Auntie Darci in an age-appropriate way so he remembers her.
"I explained she's in heaven with Mufasa - as he'd been watching The Lion King. When he's old enough, I hope we can use her story to educate him about drugs.
"Darci was such a good auntie to him. She would have spoiled the new baby rotten, too."
Holly - who is expecting to give birth next month - has not had grief counselling, but she talks to Darci following a visit to a medium.
The Geordie Shore alum explained: "A couple of months after Darci died, I spoke to a medium. I've always been a bit of a believer, but now I'm convinced.
"My sister came straight through to the medium, who said Darci spends a lot of time at my house, so now I make sure I speak to her so she knows that I know she's still around."
Holly was hurt after cruel trolls quizzed her on why she was posting on social media just days after Darci's death.
The reality TV star explained: "I continued to work, so my mum and stepdad didn't have to, but in reality, I was posting pre-recorded posts on social media.
"I got a few nasty comments saying, 'Your sister just died, and you're posting this. It doesn't feel right.'
"But when I explained my rationale, they understood."
Holly admitted that Alpha-Jax and her unborn baby - whom the star told Darci about at five weeks pregnant - helped her family through their grief.
She said: "I'm due to give birth next month, and this pregnancy, as well as my two-year-old son Alpha-Jax, gave me a push to be strong.
"It helped my parents in their grief, too - they've said they wouldn't be here if it wasn't for their grandkids keeping them going.
"My husband, Jacob, has been such a support, too - I don't know what I would have done without him."
