Maura Higgins will star on the upcoming season of Dancing with the Stars.

The 35-year-old reality TV star - who shot to fame on ITV's Love Island in 2019 - is continuing her bid for Stateside success with her latest gig after she finished runner-up to Love Island USA 2023 alum Rob Rausch in The Traitors US in February.

And Maura “manifested” signing up for ABC's Dancing with the Stars “really hard”.

She added to USA Today: “It’s on my vision board. It's the one show I really want to do.”

Maura also hinted at her epic plans for her future in America after the Latin and Ballroom dance competition.

She teased: "This is the last show I really want to do as a contestant.”

Announcing the casting on Wednesday (22.04.26), Dancing with the Stars penned on social media: "She went from looking for love to looking for who to trust, and now she’s looking to win the Mirrorball

“We’re welcoming @maurahiggins to #DWTS on ABC, Disney+, and Hulu this fall! (sic)"

Maura delightedly responded by sharing the news on her own social media pages, as she wrote: "I TINK I’M VERY EXCITED (sic)."

Following her appearance on Love Island, Maura forged a plan to make it big in America when she was cast as the host of Love Island US.

But it was her appearance on The Traitors US that cemented her household name status among American TV viewers.

She made it to the final two of the show, where she was betrayed by her 27-year-old close friend Rob Rausch.

Maura is not the only reality star set to take to the dance floor.

Bosses also announced that 30-year-old TV personality Ciara Miller will be competing on Dancing with the Stars.

Ciara initially became a household name through the Bravo reality series Summer House, most notably being involved in a love triangle on the show between herself, her ex-partner West Wilson, 31, and 34-year-old pal Amanda Batula.

Like Maura, Ciara hosted various red carpet events for American TV, and went on to appear on season three of The Traitors US in 2025.

Reflecting on Ciara’s casting on Dancing with the Stars, Rob Mills, the executive vice-president of Unscripted at Disney, told Vulture: "I think that if you don’t know Ciara, within five minutes of seeing her and hearing her story, you’re going to fall in love with her.

"And that’s always the great litmus test for Dancing."
