Sam Ryder and Ella Eyre have reportedly signed up for Celebrity Race Across the World.

The singers are set to ditch luxury for backpacks and push themselves to the limit alongside other stars and their respective teammates in a mammoth international race, for one group to be crowned the winner of the BBC show.

A source told The Sun newspaper's Bizarre column: "Sam loves a challenge, and he wanted to test his mettle off stage. He signed up with his tour manager, Kaz Coles.

"Ella also decided to give Celebrity Race Across the World a go after being tapped up by the casting team.

"A challenge like this is definitely not in Ella’s comfort zone, but she wanted to experience something new and push herself. Both Sam, 36, and Ella, 32, are competitive, and they’re in it to win it.

"They filmed the show earlier this year, but their fans will have to wait until it airs before they can see who did the best."

Earlier this month, the publication reported that former Sky Sports Soccer Saturday host Jeff Stelling, 71, and his son Matthew are set to compete with other stars on Celebrity Race Across the World.

A source said: "Jeff absolutely loves a challenge, and when he was approached by the BBC to take part in Celebrity Race Across the World, he went for it.

"He entered with his son Matt, and they had a blast together. The BBC know it’s a coup to get Jeff in the competition as he’s so well respected in the football world.

"Jeff and Matt started filming back in February alongside the other celebs."

In February, it was reported that Katie Price, 47, and 53-year-old Peter Andre's children, Junior, 20, and Princess, 18, had flown out of London to film the programme.

A source told The Sun: "Princess and Junior have proven themselves to be well-mannered, hardworking kids, and opportunities continue to come their way.

"Execs were impressed with the ratings for The Princess Diaries, but also how they came across.

"They’re brilliant signings for Celeb Race as they bring with them a younger audience.

"But bosses are also looking forward to seeing how they cope with the stripped-back style of travelling as they’re more at home in five-star hotels than a hostel."

The 2025 series of Celebrity Race Across the World - which had a 5,900km route from Isla Mujeres, Mexico, to the Peninsula de La Guajira in Colombia - was won by The One Show co-presenter Roman Kemp, 33, and his 36-year-old sister, singer Harley Moon Kemp.
