Michelle Ackerley's baby daughter has reminded her to slow down.

The BBC Morning Live co-host watched her 13-month-old daughter, Nala, enjoy the present moment over the weekend, and that encouraged the star to enjoy the simple and beautiful aspects of life more.

On Sunday (19.04.26), Michelle, 41, posted a sweet shot of her and her husband Ben Ryan's bundle of joy smiling in her pram surrounded by grass on Instagram, with the caption: "This weekend reminded me to slow down.

"In the middle of life feeling busy, I took a moment to just be. Watching Nala look up at the trees, smiling with pure joy, completely present in that little moment.

"It made me realise how easy it is to overlook the simple things that are actually the most beautiful parts of life. The quiet moments, the fresh air, a smile.

"Sometimes we just need to pause and remember to smile at the little things. They matter more than we think. (sic)"

Michelle's fans agreed as one penned in the post's comments section: "So right. We all need to notice those little moments more often."

A second supporter typed: "So very precious these moments because they grow up so fast enjoy every little thing."

And a third follower wrote: "Yes do not worry about b***** housework, nobody cares while you have a small baby, don’t waste time when you can spent it with your baby."

In October 2025, The One Show alum took to Instagram and announced the arrival of Nala by a planned C-section.

Michelle shared shots of herself and the little one bonding in hospital following the birth, with the caption: "Welcome to the world Nala Lomani Ryan.

"Our hearts couldn’t be more full."

And a year after Michelle and Ben got married in May 2024, the TV star announced she was pregnant, following an "emotional rollercoaster" with infertility and endometriosis - a chronic condition where tissue, similar to the lining of the uterus, grows in other places in the body.

The star shared multiple pictures of herself and Ben, as well as a sonogram, on Instagram, with the caption: "I can’t believe it’s nearly been a year since getting married and I honestly didn’t think 12months on that I’d be writing a post sharing that I’m pregnant….

"I know this kind of news can be difficult to read for some so I understand if you would rather scroll past on this.

"I wanted to share though as my journey with endometriosis and infertility is something I finally felt confident to start speaking about more openly last year - realising how many other women were going through similar experiences.

"Feeling part of a community - especially when it comes to women’s health can really make a difference.

"Even at the very start of this year I was gearing up for yet another endo procedure and trying to come to terms with the mental + physical impact they can have. It has been quite the emotional rollercoaster.

"The news of falling pregnant really came as a massive surprise to both of us. We still can’t quite believe it.

"And so in October, the start of a new chapter begins for @benryan7s and I, albeit with nervous and cautious excitement. (sic)"
