Katie McGlynn and Max Bowden's relationship is reportedly back on - months after they split in 2025.

The soap stars struck up a brief romance as they toured in the play, Murder at Midnight, but they broke up in December, and it has been claimed that EastEnders alum Max, 31, has spent time with former Coronation Street actress Katie, 32, at her house in Manchester over the last week.

A source told The Sun: "Katie and Max had a whirlwind romance last year, but sadly, things didn’t work out. They remained friends and, over the last couple of weeks, decided to give things another go.

"There was a lot of attention on their relationship, so they were hoping to keep things private this time around."

Max and Katie - who played Sinead Tinker and Ben Mitchell, respectively, in the rival soaps - sparked rumours of a romance in October 2025 after the pair were pictured having a passionate kiss during a night out in Malvern, Worcestershire, following an evening performance of Murder at Midnight at the Malvern Theatre.

An onlooker told The Sun at the time: "The couple seemed very intimate and comfortable in each other’s company. They only had eyes for each other."

A source added to the publication: "Max and Katie have been around each other for years. They were in the soap world for so long where everyone knows each other.

"They’ve got loads in common, and both have found themselves single at the same time as doing the tour. They get on well and have been spending time together - it’s clear they’ve got chemistry.

"Who knows what the future holds?"

Before she met Max, Katie - who left Coronation Street in 2019 after her character, Sinead, died of cervical cancer - had a romance with 35-year-old The Only Way Is Essex star, Ricky Rayment.

Their romance ended in July 2025 after two years of dating.

Meanwhile, Max - who left EastEnders in 2024 as his alter ego Ben was sent to a prison in America for fraud, but briefly returned in 2025 to accompany his boyfriend Callum Highway (Tony Clay) at his dad Jonno Highway's (Richard Graham’s) funeral - once dated co-stars Danielle Harold, 33, and Shona McGarty, 34.

Max and Here We Go actress Tori Allen-Martin, 39, split in September 2025 after they met when they starred in the musical Midnight Cowboy.
