TV star Chloe Ferry wants to show her real self
Chloe Ferry has revealed why she's committed to Netflix’s Inside.
Chloe Ferry wants to change the public's perception of her.
The former Geordie Shore star has signed up to appear in Netflix’s Inside, a new reality series, and Chloe has now revealed what convinced her to join the show.
She told The Sun newspaper: "Everyone has this Geordie Shore stigma. It’s really hard to get away from that.
"We’ve grown up since we were 19 years old on TV. I’m just hoping doing Inside will actually show who I truthfully am.
"A lot of people who meet me, they go, ‘Hey, you’re very different to what you were on TV’. Everyone thinks I’m psycho Chloe.
"I was worried. I’ve had bad experiences before from programmes where I’ve had a lot of backlash and, mentally and physically, it does affect you.
"What I really hope is that doing this, it shows the happy, bubbly me."
Chloe admits that her experiences of fame and success have taken a toll on her. And despite attending therapy sessions, she continues to struggle with her self-confidence.
Recalling one scene in which she opens up about her body image, Chloe said: "I had a really upsetting moment. I was just speaking about past trauma – getting massively trolled about the way I look – and I started crying.
"Imagine being a 19-year-old girl and you’re getting called fat, ugly, your nose is too big, you’ve got no bum.
"Throughout my teenage life to my 30s, I was called worse than s***.
"I’ve seen a life coach, I’ve seen a therapist. You’ve just got to heal from it, which will obviously take a long time.
"When you’re brought into this world, you’re not brought into it to get this hate."
Chloe has previously undergone various cosmetic procedures, but she doubts that she'll ever return to her old self.
She said: "I do feel a lot better about myself, but I don’t think I’ll ever get back to feeling my best."
