Brooks Nader is set to join the cast of Fox’s upcoming Baywatch reboot.

The 29-year-old, known for appearing on the reality series Love Thy Nader, competing on Dancing With the Stars and modelling for Sports Illustrated, will star in the series regular role of Selene.

Baywatch – scheduled to air during the 2026–2027 broadcast season – is a revival of the original Baywatch television series that starred David Hasselhoff and Pamela Anderson.

The reboot will also feature Stephen Amell, in the lead role of Hobie Buchannon, alongside Jessica Belkin, Hassie Harrison, Thaddeus LaGrone and David Chokachi, who returns from the original series as Cody Madison.

The show is preparing to begin filming in the spring in Los Angeles, with production taking place between Venice Beach and the Fox studio lot in Century City, and the production received a $21.1 million tax credit from the state of California.

According to the character description released for the series, Selene is introduced as the leader of the Zuma beach lifeguards.

The description states: “While she is excellent at her job, she and Baywatch Captain Hobie Buchannon have a very different approach to saving lives that is a constant source of friction.”

It continues: “Never on good terms, their relationship only goes downhill after Hobie brings his daughter Charlie onto his team… and it becomes clear that their rivalry goes much deeper than lifeguarding.”

Stephen plays Hobie Buchannon, the son of Mitch Buchannon, the character portrayed in the original series by David Hasselhoff. In the reboot, Hobie has grown up and become a captain himself.

The storyline follows Hobie years after the events of the original show, with his life changing when his daughter Charlie – played by Jessica – arrives unexpectedly and asks to continue the Buchannon family legacy of lifeguarding.

The reboot is being showrun by Matt Nix, who serves as executive producer.

Matt executive produces alongside the pilot’s director McG, as well as Michael Berk, Greg Bonann, Doug Schwartz, Dante Di Loreto and Mike Horowitz.

The new series is a co-production between Fox and Fremantle.

Earlier in the year, Fox organised a large open casting call for the project, auditioning around 2,000 prospective lifeguards and beachgoers for roles in the series.

Brooks is represented by the talent agency WME, Dixon Talent, Inc., and by Leigh Fidler, who serves as chief brand officer of Nader Sisters Inc.
